I am Kelli, the proud founder and owner of 1208 Legacy Homestead! This has been a journey and that's putting it mildly! I named my Homestead after my family's home address 1208.   I am a native Washingtonian born and raised. I grow up in NE DC with my dad and uncle. My grandparents raised my maternal family in NW DC at the address 1208.  Many of my values, life lessons and famous sayings from my grandfather, Herman Darden Jr. who was a PROUD Montford Point Marine (If you don't know about them google them) was learned, taught and said at 1208.  One of those sayings was "use your head for something else other than a hat rack."  I have done and am doing just that! I purchased my property thinking it was going to be JUST for dogs (I am also a professional dog trainer, check me out at wwww.bullybrigadetraining.com or @chicwithpits on IG); LITTLE did I know there was much more instore for me and my now Homestead! I have a garden where I grow my own fruits, veggies and herbs.  My focus is on building a healthy community; it started with me and my family; now my focus is on you and your family! With my natural products: soaps, body butters, beard balms, teas and much much more we are going to accomplish our goals of being a healthy community!
